Dixie Home Floors (DH Floors) Buying Guide

December 30, 2025

Dixie Home Floors

DH Flooring started in early 2003, as The Dixie Group, their main mission being to produce elegant, stylish, and high quality carpet that's still affordable for many people. Since then, they’ve grown to be a popular option with an incredible reputation, making great products without the premium pricing associated with such quality. However, at Znet Flooring we focus mainly on selling high quality hard surface flooring only which Dixie Floors didn't start selling until 2017. Their hard surface flooring focuses on about the same stuff that their carpeted surfaces did as well, making sure that their mission of making high quality and premium products for your home.
This will be your Dixie Home Flooring buying guide as we help you navigate this new world of flooring! With all the choices between manufacturers, along with the choices between laminate, vinyl and hardwood, it is quite a project to research! We will make it easier to digest, as we know that choosing a new flooring can be overwhelming. If it’s going to be in your home for many years, it’s important that this floor is something you love the look of and also fits your lifestyle’s needs.

Dixie Home houses a wide range of Laminate, Vinyl, and Hardwood. Please see our other blog, “Comparing Today’s Top Options For Your Home” that delves deeper into the differences between the 3 categories of floor.

What Sets Dixie Home Floors Apart?

Dixie Home has a few different luxury brand collections, with their TRUCOR vinyl line being their most iconic and popular one. All of Dixie Home’s vinyl, laminate, and hardwood have a great price point. Thanks to Dixie floors being a smaller company, it makes it easier for them to push out newer and trendier designs than bigger manufacturers.

TRUCOR is Dixie Home’s most beloved subbrand, it has great value, great pricing, and great durability. It comes in both wood and stone looks, making it a versatile option for anywhere in your home. Its waterproof feature on the vinyl lines also allows it to be useful and a good option to keep in bathrooms and kitchens, a luxury that unfortunately laminate nor hardwood floors have. TRUCOR’s vinyl line allows for luxury in your home without the cost getting too “luxurious”.

Fabrica Hardwood is known for its high-end quality, having amazing durability for a hardwood floor. Although, when buying hardwood it’s important that you remember it’s real wood going on your floor. Wood floor is easier to scratch, and has a higher color variation than vinyl or laminate. Despite the top floor scratches, wood is generally incredibly durable and a gorgeous addition to your home, as it’s also quite known for upping property value. The hardest part about hardwood is the subfloor requirements, due to it being real wood being put on your floor. Hardwood flooring will reach its max potential in homes with controlled temperature and humidity, as it is also finicky with humidity and radiant heat limitations similar to laminate.
Masland is another popular Dixie subbrand, known for carpeting which we unfortunately don't carry,  however they also produce a high quality laminate. Laminate is perfect for style and performance, mainly used in living rooms and bedrooms giving a lovely look to the area while still being budget friendly. However, it’s important to remember that laminate is NOT waterproof, and the largest portion of claims on laminate is because of water related incidents that don’t always follow warranty. Laminate’s unique relationship with water also makes it harder to care for, please remember to look at cleaning and care rules for laminate.

Choosing the Right Floor.

Dixie Home flooring offers a well-balanced mix of style, performance, and practicality for today’s homes. With options that span durable vinyl, reliable laminate, and beautifully engineered hardwood, Dixie Home makes it easier to find a floor that fits both your lifestyle and your space. The key to choosing the right Dixie Home floor is understanding how your home is actually used. If you’re comparing Dixie Home to other flooring brands, focus less on the name and more on how each option fits your needs. A well-chosen floor, installed correctly and maintained properly, will always outperform a popular product that isn’t right for the space.

If you need help narrowing down your options, the team at Znet Flooring can help you compare Dixie Home flooring products and find the best fit for your home with confidence.

Is Dixie Home flooring waterproof?

Dixie Home vinyl flooring products are waterproof and Dixie Home laminates are water-resistant, making vinyls more suitable for kitchens and other moisture-prone areas, while laminates still are a little more finnicky with water. Waterproof does not mean flood-proof, and standing water should always be cleaned up promptly to prevent damage.

Is Dixie Home flooring pet-friendly?

Dixie Home flooring works well in pet-friendly homes, especially vinyl and laminate options. While no floor is completely scratch-proof, quick cleanup, approved cleaners, and protective mats help reduce wear from pets.

Can Dixie Home flooring be installed over concrete?

Yes. Many Dixie Home vinyl and laminate floors can be installed over concrete slabs when proper moisture testing and subfloor preparation are completed. Engineered hardwood may also be installed over concrete using approved installation methods.

Does Dixie Home flooring come with a warranty?

Yes. Dixie Home flooring includes residential warranties covering manufacturing defects and performance when installed and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines. Warranty terms vary by product and should be reviewed before purchase. Regular maintenance and extra protective materials (such as felt pads) will help protect your floor and minimize issues.

How does Dixie Home flooring compare to other brands?

Dixie Home flooring offers a balance of style, durability, and value. Compared to mass-market brands, Dixie Home focuses on curated designs and practical performance suited for everyday residential use.
