Engineered Floors PureGrain High-Def - American Standard - Biscayne D2026-6212
Biscayne carries the deepest visual in the American Standard group, combining smoky brown, taupe, and darker grain accents. The medium-dark color has more weight than Delray or Maui, while the muted undertone keeps it from reading as a highly red or glossy traditional brown. Visible knots and natural shifts add dimension across the planks.
The floor is built on the PureGrain High-Def platform, with digital printing applied to a high-density SPC rigid core. Digital Emboss Lite follows the printed wood detail, and a natural bevel separates the 7 x 48 inch boards. The 5 mm profile includes an attached pad and uses a floating angle-lock connection.
Performance, Construction and Key Benefits
- Smoky medium-dark brown and taupe tones create the collection's most substantial, grounded color option.
- Thirty-five plank designs distribute dark grain, knots, and tonal shifts with less obvious repetition.
- Waterproof rigid vinyl construction supports approved indoor installations on, above, and below grade.
- Evertuff Clearcoat, Digital Emboss Lite, and the AC3/20 mil-equivalent rating combine aligned texture with added surface protection.
- The attached underlayment assists with sound control and is integrated into the floating-floor construction.
- Carton coverage is 22.16 square feet; current terms include lifetime residential, waterproof, wear, and pet-stain coverage, a 15-year PawPrint term, and a 10-year commercial term.
Installation, Care and Buyer Considerations
Install over a clean, dry, flat, and secure subfloor, follow the applicable vapor-barrier requirements, and leave the specified expansion space at walls and fixed objects. Keep grit off the surface, vacuum without a beater bar, remove spills promptly, and damp mop with a pH-neutral resilient-floor cleaner. Biscayne gives a room stronger contrast and can show differently under low or warm lighting, so review a physical sample with the intended furnishings before ordering.
