QuietChoice Premium Acoustic Underlayment
QuietChoice Premium Acoustic Underlayment is engineered to reduce sound transmission and footstep noise. Made from frothed polyurethane foam with antimicrobial protection, it resists mold and mildew and is suitable for use over concrete and wood subfloors.
Size & Thickness: Each 3-foot-wide by 33-foot-4-inch-long roll covers 100 square feet. Thickness: 1.4 mm (0.055").
Sound Performance: Tested at 71 IIC with 3 mm luxury vinyl tile over a 6-inch concrete slab with a drop ceiling, and ΔIIC 25 with 3 mm luxury vinyl tile over a 6-inch concrete slab without a drop ceiling. Actual sound performance depends on the complete floor and ceiling assembly.
Additional Features: UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions and approved for use with radiant heated floors. Supports floating and gluedown installation methods, subject to the flooring manufacturer's requirements.
Installation: Install with the smooth side facing down. Unroll directly into position without flipping the underlayment over.
For Gluedown Installation: Dry fit in the room, then roll back a section, spread the adhesive, and roll the underlayment into the wet adhesive. Use the smooth side of a trowel to press it into the adhesive and adjust the seams for a tight fit. Recommended adhesives are K99 or K-Spray. For K99-HM trowel-on application, use a 1/16" x 1/32" x 1/32" trowel.
